I. BACKGROUND  
 

The factory is located along side the National Route Nº 6 with 89 km from Kampong Cham province and 205 km from Phnom Penh. It has been built on the 25 hectare complex of the TTYAPD’s head office – about 15 km from the Vietnam Xamat gate border, where all trade transactions and trade deliveries taken place in the eastern border of Cambodia.

TTY Biogas was registered on 01/08/08 with ID No: 1860/08 at Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).

 
 

The management of the TTYAPD rests in hand of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO), who reputed with extensive experience in agro-industry business for 20 years. The management of the CEO is supported by dedicated directors of high-calibre professionals and experts with well-hand skills in their respective fields, agronomy, engineering, architecture, finance and management.

 

 
 

  

 

DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS ACTIVITIES

MAIN BUSINESS ACTIVITIES
The business lines of the TTYAPD are as followings:

(i)         Tapioca Starch Production


a. Cassava plantation, which the total area is approximately 4,889 hectares, for supplying cassava roots to the             starch factory. Due to large requirement of the market, TTYAPD bought more land and grow cassava plant to         supply the factory.  
b. The Factory can produce starch from 60,000 to 80,000 tones/year.
c. Production of residual cassava root-cake for the supply to the animal feed industry.
d. Waste water from the production of tapioca starch for the supply to the Biogas Power Plant.

(ii)        Biogas Power Plant

TTY Biogas is currently being constructed and expected to be completed by at the end of January 2009. The construction is primarily coordinated by foreign consultants, Waste To Energy Pte Ltd (W2E) of Singapore, and Waste Solution Pte Ltd of New Zealand, and Carbon Emission Reduction trading coordinated by Carbon Bridge Pte Ltd of Singapore).  

All equipments installed are best quality appropriate to standard procedures for the production of Gold Standard CER (Carbon Emission Reduction) registered with United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

  • Production of 3 megawatt electricity for supplying the tapioca starch factory and other industrial application to  displace the imported electricity from Vietnam.
  • The Gas production for supplying the tapioca starch factory to displace the application of heavy fuel oil for broiler
  • The Gold Standard of gas production will be selling to The Foundation myclimate base in Switzerland in accordance with Kyoto Protocol of the United Nations.
